About Pres-KL 2021

Paediatric rheumatology was first established as a new discipline in pediatrics five decades ago. Since then, this subspecialty has expanded especially in the West but the awareness of these diseases is still poor in South East Asia. Training programs and access to subspecialty care is limited in most countries and absent in some. This is the first basic paediatric rheumatology educational course in South East Asia and spans over two exciting days. It is organized with the support of Paediatric Rheumatology European Association (PReS) and is dedicated towards increasing the awareness and to educate doctors in SEA with regards to paediatric rheumatic diseases.

Event Highlights

Rheumatology Clinical Skills Workshop (Pre Congress) 26th March 2021

This one-day pre-course workshop is targeted towards medical officers with the aim to enhance rheumatology clinical skills. It consists of lectures on focussed history taking, pearls in communication and paediatric regional musculoskeletal examination. In addition, there are interactive hands-on small group teachings on joint examination, and an opportunity to practise history taking and communication. This pre-course workshop is limited to 30 participants, so do register early to avoid disappointment.
